Resident QualificationsFind out if your loved one is a good fit for Good Neighbor Village

Good Neighbor Village is certified to provide full-time and part-time respite care for adult individuals with mild to moderate intellectual disabilities.

1. A diagnosis of a mild to moderate intellectual disability from a certified physician.
2. Must be 22 years of age or older.
3. Have access to and can provide up-to-date medical records and psychological reports.
4. To help families and staff assess the fit, prospective residents must spend two respite weekends, Friday afternoon through Sunday afternoon, at the Village prior to a final decision being made about permanent residency.

Prospective part-time respite residents must meet the above qualifications as well. Our respite residents typically stay with us for up to three days and two nights, but if a more extended stay is required, you can contact us directly to arrange the stay.
