Respite CareA short but memorable visit

Our respite visits are typically three days and two nights, often held over weekends. These visits are great options for families who may be traveling or are dealing with personal matters and need additional assistance to care for their loved one for a brief period.

Respite care is available for one person each weekend. For those who wish to arrange respite care for their family member, please contact our Executive Director, Holly Jackson, to set a date and to make sure the time they are looking at is still open/available.

Families who wish to arrange a respite visit must meet the same qualifications as our full-time residents.

1. A diagnosis of a mild to moderate intellectual disability from a certified physician.
2. Must be 22 years of age or older.
3. Have access to and can provide up-to-date medical records and psychological reports.

Our thorough application process allows us to understand the quality of care required for our respite visitors and to staff accordingly. We also like to ensure our respite visitors feel just as much at home as our full-time residents, so we provide them with their own room and encourage them to socialize with other villagers and participate in our daily activities.
