02-26-2026

At Good Neighbor Village, we are always looking for ways to enrich our residents' daily lives. Whether it's hosting new activities or adding staff members, we ensure residents always have someone to turn to when needed. On November 1st, Good Neighbor Village proudly appointed Ryan Corrigan as our new Executive Director.

Our staff members play an active role in each resident's life, from waking up and having breakfast to going to bed, ensuring the thoughtful, consistent care while supporting their independence. Whenever a new staff member joins our community, they don't just take on a role; they become part of our family.

Having worked with numerous healthcare, environmental, and youth organizations throughout his career, Ryan Corrigan brings three decades of non-profit leadership to Good Neighbor Village. With a heart for community and a vision for growth, he will strengthen partnerships and expand fundraising to help residents continue thriving in a safe, supportive village.

Three Decades of Leadership Rooted in Community

A veteran of fundraising, Corrigan brings a strong track record of leadership that speaks not only to his passionate drive to help others but also to his determination to create a positive impact within his community. Before stepping up as Executive Director for Good Neighbor Village, Corrigan has held numerous leadership roles with the Children's Miracle Network-Richmond, The READ Center, The James River Association, and The Boy Scouts of America. Throughout his 30 years of leadership and fundraising experience, Corrigan has demonstrated compassion and an impressive ability to drive organizational growth, strengthen community partnerships, strategically fundraise, and advance board development, making him a strong fit to carry on Good Neighbor Village's mission.

Currently, Corrigan serves on the board of the University of Richmond's Institute of Philanthropy, further reflecting his commitment to the non-profit community. His non-profit consulting firm, Flywheel Creative, has been a major game-changer for Good Neighbor Village's fundraising endeavors. Over the past year, Flywheel Creative's partnership with Good Neighbor Village has strengthened our ability to provide residents with the care they need while maintaining their independence. Our long-standing partnership has given Corrigan deep insight into Good Neighbor Village's long-term goals and mission to provide a safe, caring environment where adults with mild intellectual disabilities can thrive.

Corrigan's compassion, steady leadership, and drive to build a cohesive community make him an excellent fit for Good Neighbor Village.

Corrigan Plans for Strengthened Partnerships & Increased Community Fundraising

Corrigan plans to build upon Flywheel Creative's momentum by expanding community outreach initiatives and fundraising efforts. Under his leadership, Good Neighbor Village will have the opportunity to house more residents and expand community bonds.

Since 1987, Good Neighbor Village has grown from three loving mothers and their children to three homes on 43 acres, now housing up to 24 residents. As we look to the future, Corrigan plans to help Good Neighbor Village reach its goal of building six additional houses, a recreation center for residents to host activities, administrative offices, and a new community center for locals to interact with the residents, as we believe that the ability for residents to thrive begins with a strong foundational community.

If you're looking for ways to support Good Neighbor Village in reaching its mission, visit our donation page. We accept a variety of items, including kitchen appliances, furniture, books, electronics, and more. If not for the support of our staff, community, and incredible organizational leadership, Good Neighbor Village wouldn't be where we are today.
